Why this change?

Sparten started out as a server moderation and management bot. Here is why we are changing direction.

There are too many bots

There are a huge number of ER:LC moderation and management bots out there. Most of them do very similar things, and new ones keep showing up all the time.

In a space that crowded, it is really hard for one more bot to stand out, and even harder for it to grow. We did not want to keep competing on the same features as everyone else and end up as just another name on a long list.

Moderation and management is not going away

We are not throwing that work away. Server moderation and management will still be part of Sparten down the road. It just will not be the only thing we are, and it will sit alongside something much bigger.

There are already a lot of CADs

We understand there are already a lot of CADs out there. But not one of them truly gives people what they want: a less paid option that still has a high quality CAD system.

Too often you have to choose between paying a lot for the features you actually need, or settling for a free option that feels unfinished.

What we are building instead

A realistic, all-in-one CAD with mostly free options. Anything paid is optional and only exists to keep the team running, and it will never get in the way of how you use the CAD. High quality should not have to cost a lot, and that is the gap we want Sparten to fill.
